Religious Education Grade K-8

Welcome to the St. Eugene FSR (Family School of Religion Program). Our purpose as a parish is to live & announce the Good News of Jesus Christ while promoting and encouraging participation in the Mass. Our mission is about helping you to prepare and empower your children to receive the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation and understanding our Catholic faith and to live a vibrant life of discipleship within your family and our Parish!

Our program has changed quite a bit this year. With Fr. Pete’s guidance and support, our dedicated team of teachers & aides will begin FSR with families at Sunday 11am Mass as we share in the Good News through mass participation and the Gospel teaching. From there we will break out into our class areas for another half hour to 45 minutes to unpack the Gospel teaching with Pflaum Gospel Weeklies and other supplements (parents are encouraged and welcome to stay). Our mission is to promote the Joy of our Christian Community through strengthening a personal relationship with Jesus Christ while also preparing for the sacraments and living out our Catholic faith in our world today.

Called to Protect for Youth

Called to Protect is a program that is part of the religious education curriculum for the Diocese of Cleveland. It provides training for adults and children in matters of personal safety, abuse prevention, and the creation of safe environments.

The 1st through 8th grade FSR classes will each go through the Called to Protect program materials appropriate for their age. You can learn more about the program by downloading the 1st-6th grade or 7th-8th parent letter.

We meet you where you are in your faith journey ...

We welcome children with special needs to our Religious Education program and offer both inclusion and individual opportunities for religious education.

We have an adaptive curriculum especially designed for children. Our adaptive program can also be used with those children who are main-streamed but need some additional assistance. While your child may be dealing with a disability, s/he is not spiritually disabled. We embrace the fact that we are all God’s children.

We would love to help you bring your child into a closer relationship with God and God's Church.
