Religious Education: Pre-K (age 4)-8th Grade

Welcome to the St. Eugene PSR (Parish School of Religion). Our purpose as a parish is to live & announce the Good News of Jesus Christ while promoting and encouraging participation in the Mass. Our mission is about helping you to prepare and empower your children to receive the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation and understanding our Catholic faith and to live a vibrant life of discipleship within your family and our Parish!

With Fr. Pete’s guidance and support, our dedicated team of teachers & aides, will begin PSR with families attending Mass with their children at Sunday 11am Mass as we share in the Good News through Mass participation and the Gospel teaching. From there we will break out into our class areas for another hour to unpack the Gospel teaching with Pflaum Gospel Weeklies©, Ascension Press Confirmation “Chosen” Program©, and other supplements (parents are encouraged and welcome to stay). Our mission is to promote the Joy of our Christian Community through strengthening a personal relationship with Jesus Christ while also preparing for the sacraments and living out our Catholic faith in our world today.

Sundays: 11am Mass - 1:00pm

PSR Registration

If you're new to the program, fill out the registration form, pay the tuition, & mail or email the form to Diana Hudock.

Families that were enrolled last year were sent registration packets in the mail.

Make sure your child is enrolled before October 5th, 2025.

Sacramental Preparation

Before a Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Communion or Confirmation, you're required to attend a class (1) with Fr. Pete before you receive your sacrament.

The dates are:

September 10, 2025 at 6pm

November 12th, 2025 at 6pm

Empowering God’s Children® Safe Environment Program

To assist in the monumental mission of protecting children from abuse, St. Eugene Parish PSR is partnering with you to present a safe environment lesson to your youth within the youth program. It is our cherished role as adults to fully protect children. In addition, we must also teach children about their safety rights and boundaries, so that they have tools to protect themselves. Beginning in January 2026 we will begin our lessons. Please click on the parent/guardian tab below for opt-out information.

We meet you where you are in your faith journey ...

We welcome children with special needs to our Religious Education program and offer both inclusion and individual opportunities for religious education.

We have an adaptive curriculum especially designed for children. Our adaptive program can also be used with those children who are main-streamed but need some additional assistance. While your child may be dealing with a disability, s/he is not spiritually disabled. We embrace the fact that we are all God’s children.

We would love to help you bring your child into a closer relationship with God and God's Church.
