Hello my friends! Several of you have asked me to address both personal & spiritual questions. Here are some questions and my answers to them. I invite more questions. Call me, write me or send questions to Diana for this bulletin article (d_hudock@yahoo.com). This article will also appear on our Facebook and Blog on our website.
Ricky asks: “So I know the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are 3 separate people but I have also heard in church that they are all one. Can you please help me understand that better?”
Father Pete: What a good question! This is the ultimate mystery. I can say only a little bit about it, according to my understanding. We believe that God has shown us who He is through Jesus, the Son of God the Father. God is one God, one mind, one love, and one existence. But God’s one existence and one mind and lone love is shared in three persons. It would be like three humans who somehow had the exact same mind to share. The three would think, choose, and act with one mind and heart. So it is with God. Father, Son, and Spirit are all one being (existence itself) sharing one mind and one heart and all acting together as one. This is heavy stuff! I think I have explained it correctly. Also, I hope I have helped a little. Thank you for this wonderful question!
Keep the questions!
Love, Father Pete
