Sacraments
Baptism
It is a joy to celebrate the Baptism of your infant or young child! Please don’t hesitate to contact us. You're welcome regardless of your life and family circumstances or even if you haven’t been to church in a while.
For more information, review and submit the Baptism registration form or call the parish office.
First Reconciliation & Communion
A child who is in second grade and has been baptized may begin preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. Your child will attend weekly Sacramental Formation Classes provided by St. Eugene. If your child has yet to be baptized or is beyond second grade, we are happy to prepare your child for these sacraments!
Confirmation
We are excited to welcome young people to be confirmed in the Holy Spirit! The Sacrament of Confirmation is the celebration where people are empowered by God for the mission of the church. St. Eugene Church is an excellent place to prepare for this experience.
Marriage
It is a joy to celebrate Christian matrimony with you! Even if you are not a parishioner at St. Eugene or your spouse-to-be is not Christian or Catholic, we warmly welcome you. Fr. Pete would be happy to walk you through an easy and friendly preparation process for your wedding day that includes an initial meeting with him, a meeting for pre-marriage counseling, and a final meeting to plan a beautiful and meaningful celebration.
Preparation for Sacraments
Preparation for sacraments at St. Eugene requires adults to attend a class with Fr. Pete called the “Kingdom Talk.” This includes any sacrament you are receiving or asking for your children to receive, including:
- Couples preparing for marriage
- Parents asking for the baptism of child (parents only, please)
- Sacrament of Confirmation for adults or teens grade 9 and up (a parent must accompany a teen)
- Adults seeking to enter the Catholic Church (O.C.I.A.)
- Parents asking for Sacrament of First Communion/Reconciliation for child (parents only, please)
The dates of upcoming Kingdom Talks are:
- Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the South Wing of the Church
- Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the South Wing of the Church
- Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the South Wing of the Church
- Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the South Wing of the Church
You only need to attend one talk.
